Health Center
Operated by the
John F. Andrews Family Care Center, the Boothbay Region
School Health Center offers accessible healthcare to
students in grades K-12 as well as school
staff. Staffed by a Nurse Practitioner, School
Nurse, Physical Therapist and Licensed Clinical Social
Worker, the health center provides basic healthcare
services such as sports physicals, immunizations, flu
shots and diagnosis and treatment of common illnesses
such as ear infections, strep throat, mono and
conjunctivitist.

Confidential services
such as counseling regarding alcohol or drug abuse,
reproductive health issues, pregnancy tests,
contraception and diagnosing and treatment of sexually
transmitted diseases are provided.
Physical therapy for sports is available
two days a week. Because there is more to
wellness than taking care of physical needs, licensed
clinical social workers are available to talk to
students about a variety of issues, including alcohol
& drug use, depression/anxiety, domestic violence
and sexually transmitted diseases.
